The Stratosphere Las Vegas has a few attractions to get your adrenaline pumping if you are brave enough to attempt them. The attractions include the X-scream, Insanity, the Big Shot, and the Observation Deck.
The X-Scream is known to be the third highest ride in the world that acts as a teeter totter dangling riders over 100 stories above the Las Vegas strip. This ride will propel you over 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere tower and dangle you weightlessly. You will be shot out over the strip and ripped back again. See if you can handle this scary ride.
The Insanity ride is a massive mechanical arm that extends more than 60 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere, higher than the X-Scream. The Insanity propels the riders over 900 feet in the air at speeds of 3 G’s and at a 70 degree angle facing straight down. If you are brave enough to take the ride with your eyes open, you will never forget the feeling of thinking you have been thrown from the top of the Stratosphere Las Vegas.
The Big Shot ride will shoot you straight up into the Las Vegas sky at 1081 ft. into the air at 45 miles an hour. The platform you will leave the ground from is at the top of the Stratosphere Las Vegas already at 920 feet in the air. You will sit in a seat and your feet will dangle as your gut is wrenched with the speed on the ways up and down on this big shot ride.
The observation deck of the Stratosphere Las Vegas is the tallest observation deck in the United States at 1,150 ft. tall. This building provides for viewing of Las Vegas all the way around which give you the opportunity to get some amazing photos of the city. You can stand on the observation deck indoors, and if you are not afraid of heights, you can stand outside as well.
